GIRLS WINTER PROGRAMS

Husky Volleyball was founded in 1999 to provide opportunities for boys and girls in the area to learn and enjoy playing volleyball. We have programs for a broad range of ages and skill levels. Our teams at all levels compete against other teams from all over New England. When you consider which club to play for we suggest that you consider the stability of the program. Since being founded in 1999 we’ve had the same club director and our mission has been to provide a better experience to our players every single year (up to the point of now having our own dedicated volleyball training center).

New clubs pop up every year, others have a large amount of staff turnover. We’ve dedicated ourselves to providing a consistent and high quality experience for our players year after year. We provide our coaches with opportunities to learn new techniques by providing them with many opportunities to become better, more knowledgeable coaches. We send them to Gold Medal Squared coaching clinics, having them go through the USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation program.

Here’s a quick summary of our offerings for the Winter season:

  • Regional, grades 6 and up. Travel is generally limited to about 1-1.5 hours one way of Hartford for tournaments (all tournaments are 1 day). One practice each week
(Sunday) and an instructional open play night (Monday). Starts with evaluations on Sunday, 12/1/19 for grades 9 and up (evaluation dates for 2019 are 12/1, 12/8, 12/15)
  • NEW THIS YEAR! We will be starting a 12 and under (5th/6th grade) division. More details shortly! Registration not open yet.
  • High Performance (HP). Grades 7 and up. Depending on the level of the team, travel can range from just in New England to Washington DC/Philadelphia and the US Junior National Championships in either Orlando (AAU) or Minneapolis (USA Volleyball).  NEW in 2019-2020, tryouts for HP and middle school players that have completed their season will begin in mid-November (don't worry if your team is still playing, you won't be left behind!)
