Who are Our Coaches?
Our coaches love the sport of volleyball and want to pass on that love of the game to our club members!
Where do we get our coaches?
They come to us from a variety of different sources:
What do our coaches have in common?
1. They are well trained:
2. They are lifelong learners, they are looking for new perspectives on the game and how to teach it
3. They work in a support group and get to collaborate with other coaches in our program (maybe the biggest asset available to them)
What is our Commitment to Good Coaching?
Husky Volleyball Club also reaches out to high school programs in the state by hosting coaching clinics. One recent program featured Division 1 coaches had 50+ coaches attending (almost all local high school coaches) and the other (Gold Medal Squared) had nearly 60 coaches total.
All of our coaches have the full support of the program. We have staff on-site working with new coaches and our practice layout (with so many coaches together at once) allow for casual conversations about teaching skills and practice planning every day. We also have a variety of training tools and access to an immense online video library of top coaches teaching skills and running their favorite drills.
One thing that you can be sure of is that our coaches take a lot of pride in trying to inspire our players to succeed. That definition of success will vary by the player and we’ll work with your athlete to find out how they define success and help find a path for them to work towards their goal (whether it’s playing in college, making the varsity or jv team next year or getting their serve over the net!)
We are always on the lookout for new coaches, if you’re interested in coaching please check out this page.
