Husky VB COVID Guidelines

Husky Volleyball Phase 2

The safety of our players and staff is our main concern. We have the following guidelines in place (all meet or exceed the state of CT phase 2 reopening guidelines):

  • the building, equipment and volleyballs have been treated with a long acting antimicrobial spray
  • the "high touch" surfaces (doors, bathrooms, etc) are sanitized before/after each practice session with an electrostatic fogger (to better cover all surfaces)
  • players are required to wear masks at all times, doors are propped open for a "no touch" entry.
  • each day players/staff are required to fill out an online health and travel certification (there's a long list of states that people need to quarantine for 14 days after travelling to) ** if the CDC reduces the quarantine time to 10 days then we will reduce ours as well
  • upon entry each player/staff member will verify that they are in good health and have their temperature taken (must be 99.5 or below)
  • players sanitize their hands upon entrance and at each break
  • players must place their bags and personal items in a designated spot (each spot is 6' from the next one)
  • (updated as of 11/2/20) players must wear masks while playing, practicing. We will allow mask breaks for any player that needs one.
  • players should bring a full water bottle. The drinking fountain is open only for refilling of water bottles.
  • on breaks players are expected and reminded to maintain social distance
  • traffic patterns in the building are designed to minimize players from grabbing door handles when entering or using the restrooms (push only)
  • all volleyballs are sanitized via medical grade UVC lights after every practice.
  • spectators are not allowed in they gym area of The Den while we are under phase 2 (our rule). The lobby will be open to parents as a convenience but parents should remain at least 6' apart and must be masked while in the building. Restrooms are always open for parents.
